MASSACHUSETTS CHIPPENDALE BLOCKED SERPENTINE-FRONT MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS, a fine example, the one-board top with molded-edge over four graduated drawers with molded profile, flanked by blocked corners and solid ends, the whole raised on a bold applied ogee bracket-foot base. Pine secondary wood. Retaining an old surface with rich color. Probably Boston. Circa 1770. 33" H, 39 1/2" x 20 3/4" top.

Condition

Very good overall condition with minor scattered wear and discoloration. Brasses replaced. Feet with very minor cracks and old repairs.
