MID-ATLANTIC EARTHENWARE / REDWARE SPITTOONS, LOT OF THREE, each lead-glazed and of circular form, comprising one with additional copper- and manganese-glazed over a partial slip wash, an incised ring to rim and base, two additional rings under edge of base, and a cut-out drain hole, one 5 3/8" D example with cut-out drain hole, and one diminutive example having additional manganese splotches, lacking drain hole. Circa 1880. 3 1/4" HOA.
Two undamaged; polychrome example having some restoration to rim and some minute scattered glaze flakes.
