NAILSEA / VENETIAN THREAD FAIRY LAMP, opal loops on blue, satin finish, pyramid-size dome fitted on a colorless "S.CLARKE/FAIRY PYRAMID" lamp cup and matching tri-corner ruffled-rim with applied frosted colorless decoration to the sides with an applied card holder, polished pontil mark signed "S. CLARKES / PATENT / 'FAIRY'". Fourth quarter 19th century. 5 1/2" H, 4 3/4" DOA base.

Condition
Excellent condition overall with the lamp cup having a sizeable sliver chip to the underside of the edge; shade having expected roughness and a couple of sliver flakes to the interior of the top rim, possibly as made.
