NATIVE AMERICAN SIOUX CHIEF'S PIPE TOMAHAWK, wide blade decorated with pierced cross and three pierced six-point stars, ash haft handle with extensive hot file burned bands and three double bands of iron trade tack pattern. Second half 19th century. 28" L, 5" W blade.
Provenance: From an Alexandria, VA private collection.
Condition
Excellent condition with even color, some expected wear to handle decoration and light corrosion to tack heads.
