NEW MARKET, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA EARTHENWARE / REDWARE PITCHER, double lead-glazed, baluster vase form, beaded neck ring, double incised medial rings, shallow grooved handle with impressed lower terminal, pronounced foot, glazed under base. Probably John George Schweinfurt (1825-1907), New Market, Shenandoah Co., VA. Circa 1870. 10 1/4" H, 5" D rim.
Catalogue Note: Note on receipt reads "Belonged to Julie (Brice's) Grandmother".
Condition
Mostly undamaged, having a chip to spout.
