NEW YORK HAND-PAINTED FOLK ART PAPER DOLL WITH SILK DRESS, paper with watercolor detailing, applied silk dress, depicts a girl holding a garland above her head, her legs are articulated, includes a note reading "Belonged to Elizabeth Anne Mowatt / ([?] Boucher)" for Elizabeth Anne Mowatt Boucher (1825-1890) lived in New York City for the majority of her young life and, at some later point, moved to Bedford Co., Virginia, where she resided until the end of her life. The box it resides in appears to be of the same age, likely original to it. Likely made in New York City, NY. Circa 1835. 13" HOA.
