NORTH CAROLINA FEDERAL WALNUT CHEST OF DRAWERS, rectangular top with applied reeded moldings over five graduated dovetailed and cockbeaded drawers with later brass eagle pulls, raised on slightly flaring French feet, solid ends. Yellow pine secondary wood. Retains an old refinished surface with warm color. Possibly the circle of John Swisegood (1796-1874), Davidson County, NC. 1820-1830. 44 1/2" H, 36 1/2" W, 18 1/2" D.

Very good overall condition, feet with cracks and old repairs, minor loss to proper back left corner, old patch repair to proper right side, one drawer with old patch repair to the interior.
