MERRILL" example with cobalt across stamp and to one handle terminal, approximately one-gallon capacity, ovoid form with slightly flaring rim and applied arched handles, and a stenciled cobalt "JAS. BENJ[A]MIN / STONEWARE / DEPOT. / CINCINNATI, O" example, designated two-gallon capacity, cylindrical form with flat-top rounded rim. Calvin J.
