OO-5 HEART AND FAN OCTAGON OBLONG PRESSED OPEN SALT, opaque chalk white, even-scallop rim, stepped body. Very Rare. Probably New England area. 1835-1850. 1 1/2" H, 2 3/8" x 3 5/8".

Catalogue Note: This is the first example of this salt that we have sold, suggesting it is rarer than designated by Neal.
Excellent condition, one end rim with chip to interior which only very slightly affects the profile of one scallop, minor flake to table ring. Typical annealing lines to interior, as made.
