PAIR OF AMERICAN OR BRITISH SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) FOLK ART MINIATURE PORTRAITS OF SISTERS, watercolor, each a waist-length depiction of a seated subject with curly red hair, wearing Empire-style dress and coral necklace, younger sibling holding an open book, no signature(s) located. Each housed in a period molded giltwood frame. Circa 1830. Each 3" x 2 1/2" sight, 8 5/8" x 7 5/8" OA.

Condition

Each in good overall visual condition with minor to moderate discoloration, surfaces somewhat uneven, one example cracked, edges possibly trimmed. Frames with moderate wear and likely later surface. Not examined out of frames.
