PAIR OF AUGUSTE EDOUART (FRENCH / AMERICAN, 1789-1861) CUT-AND-PASTED SILHOUETTES OF SAVANNAH, GEORGIA SUBJECTS, subjects identified as Frederick and Sarah Mason, the man signed and inscribed "Aug. Edouart fecit / Savannah / 1840" in lower margin, each a full-length depiction with watercolor en grisaille background, housed under glass in period, possibly original, molded gilt wood frame. Dated 1840. 9 1/4" x 6 1/4" sight, 11 1/2" x 8 1/2" OA.
Each in excellent overall visual condition with very minor toning. Frames with minor wear and discoloration. Not examined out of frames.
