PAIR OF FRENCH PAINTED SHEET-IRON SALON SIGNS, each with applied floral decoration possibly roses, with applied white lettering against a red-ground "SALON / POUR / MESSIEURS" and "COUPE POUR DAMES". Late 19th/early 20th century. 23" and 25" H.
Provenance: From a New England collection.
Discovered in Paris, France.
Very good overall condition, probable losses to applied roses, and each with moderate craquelure, and with areas of expected weathering and wear.
