PAIR OF ENGLISH MAHOGANY CHIPPENDALE SIDE CHAIRS, both with a shaped crest rail with carvings, above pierced splat, molded trapezoidal seat frame, raised on cabriole legs terminating in ball-and-claw feet, the whole of each ornamented with detailed carved elements. Seats with later upholstery. Retain old surfaces with warm color. Oak and softwood, likely pine, secondary woods. Late 18th/early 19th century. 37 1/2" HOA, 22 1/2" WOA, 17 1/2" DOA.
