PATTERN-MOLDED CHAIN-DECORATED COVERED DOUBLE-HANDLED JAR, colorless, thistle form body with nipt diamonds near the base and a bisected medial chain band, applied matching handles, original pattern-molded cover with air-trap finial. Probably English or European. Fourth quarter 18th/first quarter 19th century. 9 1/4" HOA, 5" D rim.
Condition
Having a sizeable U-shaped crack extending from the rim and into the body; no further damage.
