each having upper Albany-slip type glaze, comprising an approximately one-gallon capacity example having black-printed "HARRY GROSSMAN / WHOLESALE LIQUOR DEALER / No. 550 NORTH SECOND STREET / PHILADELPHIA, PA." to front and impressed stamp "SHERWOOD BROS. / POTTERY / NEW BRIGHTON, PA." to lower back, and an approximately half-gallon capacity example having black-printed "THE / CHAS. D. KAIER CO. / LT'D / MAHANOY CITY, PA."
Fourth quarter 19th/first quarter 20th century.

Excellent, mostly undamaged condition, except Grossman example having some crazing with light staining; Kaier example with minute flake to mouth.
