PENNSYLVANIA POPLAR STEPBACK DUTCH CUPBOARD. two-piece construction, the upper section with applied ogee-molded cornice over two hinged twelve light doors, concealing two fixed shelves with plate grooves, one having cut-out spoon slots, likely original plate rails, flanked by canted corners with lamb's tongue terminals, with six dovetailed short drawers, arched cut-out with open pie shelf below, the lower section with two hinged doors concealing a single fixed shelf, the whole raised on turned feet. Poplar and pine secondary woods. Second quarter of 19th century. 84 1/2" H, 64 1/4" W, 20" D.
