Catalogue Note: William John Rahily was born in 1872 to Irish and American parents living in Petersburg, VA. In the 1900 census, Rahily's occupation was listed as a "saloon keeper". By 1910, he was listed as a "liquor dealer" and owning his own establishment. William Rahily died in 1922 and is buried in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Cemetery in Petersburg.
