PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA DECORATED STONEWARE PITCHER, salt-glazed, approximately half-gallon capacity, ovoid form with incised neck rings, applied strap handle, and beaded foot. Brushed cobalt double-stem flower with closed buds and feathered leaves to front and two horizontal foliate ornaments to each side of neck. Probably the Richard C. Remmey (1835-1904) pottery, Philadelphia, PA. 1870-1885. 6 3/4" H, 3 7/8" D rim, 4 3/8" D base.

Condition

Having professional restoration to handle, a minor flake to rim, two chips to foot edge, and one shallow chip to foot underside edge.
