PIEDMONT VIRGINIA VERNACULAR WALNUT TILT-TOP CANDLESTAND, featuring hexagonal top over turned birdcage and baluster-form pedestal, all raised on tripod base fitted with wrought-iron "spider" brace to underside. Retaining likely original surface with rich color. First quarter 19th century. 27 1/4" H, 18 1/2" SQ (top).

Good overall condition with moderate wear. Cracks and old repairs to top and one leg, slightly unstable. Lacking catch to tilt top. Cracks to pedestal.
