PILLAR-MOLDED COVERED COMPOTE, colorless, hemispherical bowl with eight pronounced ribs and heavy tooled rim, raised on an applied solid stem and thick circular foot with a polished pontil mark, conforming cover with applied spool-like finial topped by a polished pontil mark. Pittsburgh area. 1850-1870. 11" HOA, 8" D rim, 5 3/8" D foot.
Condition
Undamaged with some scattered high-point wear.
