PILLAR-MOLDED MOLASSES PITCHER, colorless, pyriform body with eight ribs, applied wide concave neck ring, and bold applied hollow handle, raised on an applied, funnel-like sloping foot with a rough pontil mark. Original Britannia hinged lid. Pittsburgh area, probably Bakewell, Pears & Co. 1850-1870. 9 1/2" H, 4 1/8" D foot.
