PLOSSL IN WIEN DIMINUTIVE BRASS TELESCOPE WITH CASE, extends to reveal maker's mark "Plossl in Wien" engraved in script, retains original case with red velvet lining. Accompanying note advising that this was owned by the valet of the son of the physician to HRH George III. Vienna, Austria. First half 19th century. 6" LOA when fully open.
Condition
Very good condition overall with minor wear and darkening; case possibly relined on half with red silk-like material.
