PRESSED ACANTHUS LEAF WHALE OIL / FLUID STAND LAMP, colorless, large size, dome-top font with 12 protruding petals below the shoulder and a short hexagonal lower extension with 12 beads, raised on a 12-petal-top acanthus leaf standard and double-step square base beaded between the steps, wafer construction, period pewter collar. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1840-1860. 12 1/8" H, 4" SQ base.

Excellent condition overall with three sliver chips to the upper step corners with one chip being moderate; having post-production polishing to the underside of the foot at the snap-ring, creating a frosted appearance from the exterior.
