PRESSED HEXAGONAL OPALESCENT PAIR OF CANDLESTICKS, yellow citron and fiery opalescent, each heavy urn-form socket raised on a knopped stem and flaring standard terminating in a circular foot, waferless two-part construction. Probably Pittsburgh. 1850-1870. 9 1/2" H, 4 5/8" D feet.
Literature: Innes - Pittsburgh Glass, color pl. 10.
One undamaged with a single flake to one socket point; other in excellent as made condition. As made example having a short check to the joint of the socket extension and standard, roughness including a short fin around the lip of the socket as well as a couple of underfills to the edge of the socket lip, all as made.
