PRESSED LOOP / LEAF WHALE OIL / FLUID STAND LAMP, brilliant medium blue, dome-top six-loop font featuring a lower double-step and knop extension, raised on an octagonal baluster-form standard and square base, wafer construction, period pewter collar. Fitted with a period two-tube burner with caps and chains. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. and possibly others. 1840-1860. 8 1/2" H, 2 5/8" SQ base.

Very good to excellent condition overall with a sliver chip to the top edge of the foot, a bruise to one base corner, and an additional flake to the top edge of the foot; collar and burner having scratching/roughness.
