PRESSED SANDWICH HEXAGONAL-BASE TULIP VASE, brilliant deep peacock blue/teal, deep octagonal bowl with flared rim and panels that continue to the lower peg extension, raised on a rare flared hexagonal base with compressed knop, wafer construction. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1840-1850. 10 7/8" H, 5 1/4" DOA rim, 5 1/4" DOA foot.

Condition

Near proof, minor sliver chip to one base corner and a minor flake to another. Only a hint of interior wear. Typical roughness to underside of foot associated with the snap ring.
