PRESSED SANDWICH OPEN-WORK FRUIT BASKET ON TULIP VASE FOOT, colorless lead glass, bowl with a flared 32-point rim above 16 vertical staves, and a 34-point star under the slumped conical base, raised on an octagonal tulip vase base. Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1840-1855. 9 1/4" H, 9 1/4" DOA rim, 4 3/4" DOA base.

Condition

Nearly proof with some flaking and roughness around the base edge. As is typical with this form, scattered networks of annealing lines throughout, especially to the open work.
