PRESSED WAFFLE WHALE OIL / FLUID STAND LAMPS, LOT OF TWO,
comprising a colorless example and one with translucent starch blue above alabaster/clambroth with a lightly sanded surface, each having a period collar. Colorless fitted with a two-tube screw-in burner.
Probably New England.
1845-1870.
8 1/2' and 8 3/4" H to top of the collar, 4" DOA bases.
Provenance:Michael Carter collection, Hanover, PA.
Each nearly undamaged with a couple of flakes/small sliver chips to the underside of the base; burner frozen, each having some light wear.
