QUEEN ANNE-TYPE DIMINUTIVE / MINIATURE ONE-INCH WOODEN DOLLS, LOT OF TWO, jointed shoulders and hips, hand-painted facial features, arms and feet, each with black-painted hair. Together with a diminutive/miniature wooden cradle. Three pieces total. Second half 19th century. 7/8" and 1" H.
Good overall condition, expected wear and scattered losses to paint, one example lacking top of hair and each probably lacking hands.
Deaccessioned by the Wachovia Historical Society to benefit acquisitions and conservation funds.
