RANDALL FIGHTING KNIFE MODEL 1 SPRINGFIELD MASS, WWII PRODUCTION, clip point, retains original leather sheath with broken sharpening stone, brass crossguard, stacked leather handle, blade stamped "RANDALL MADE / SPFLD. MASS." near the spine. Circa 1945. Knife out of sheath 13" LOA.
Catalogue Note: The need for Randall fighting knives in WWII was so great that Bo Randall asked the Northampton Cutlery Company to manufacture these weapons to his specifications. It is thought that only about 1,200 knives were manufactured with the "RANDALL MADE / SPFLD. MASS." mark.

Condition

Good overall condition with some sharpening marks and some surface spotting to blade, leather sheath and handle both showing some expected roughness, snap base missing from sheath.

Collection of the late Al and Billy Steidel, Alexandria, VA.
