RARE UNITED STATES STAMP, SCOTT #156 RED GLEN ALLEN STAR PRECANCEL ON POSTAL COVER, Glen Allen Star Precancel in red affixed to a Cussons, May& Sheppard Printing Co., Glen Allen, VA advertising cover printed in green, having a red-printed Aug. 22, 1878 postmark, addressed to Mr. Ephraim Baker, Mount Olive, Shenandoah Co., Virginia. Together with an American Philatelic Society Expert Committee Report certificate, No. 198591, 12/22/2011.
Condition
The stamp lacks several perforations on each side, and the cover is basically intact with some roughness to the bottom edge.
