ROANOKE, VIRGINIA AREA ANTIQUE AND VINTAGE PHOTOGRAPHS, LOT OF 16, including one mounted to board featuring an early 20th century image of the town, one depicting a trolley car on Jefferson Street, one featuring a group of men with "Gibbs & Hill / CATENARY ASSEMBLING GANG / ROANOKE, VA" to lower left corner, one depicting a brick building and inscribed "Colored School" to back, and one featuring a group of children outside of a brick school building with "Gilmer Avenue / School" inscribed to back. Many stamped "DAVIS PHOTO CO." and three stamped "CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSIONS / ROANOKE, VIRGINIA" to back. First half 20th century. Most 9 1/2" x 7 3/4".
Condition
Most in fair to good condition, many having damp stains including some with losses, creases, one having a hole to upper half, and one with taped tear.
