ROCKBRIDGE CO., SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA, PAINTED POPLAR AND YELLOW PINE JELLY CUPBOARD, unusual huntboard form with one-board rectangular top over two fielded-panel doors concealing single fixed shelf, all flanked by fielded-panel ends and raised on tall square-tapered legs issuing from the stiles. Retaining original hinges, knobs, turnbuckle door catch, and robin's egg blue surface. First quarter 19th century. 48 1/4" H, 44" x 17" top.

Condition

Very good overall condition with minor scattered wear and discoloration, slightly heavier to top. Corners of top cut as an old, possibly 19th-century, alteration.
