SONNER, STRASBURG, SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA DECORATED STONEWARE JARS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, each of cylindrical form with squared, collared rims, comprising a "2" gallon capacity mark example stamped "S.H. SONNER. / STRASBURG V[A]" and a "1" gallon capacity example. Each having brushed cobalt feather decorations, one having design repeated three times and remaining having design repeated four times. Samuel Harrison Sonner (1821-1901), Strasburg, VA. 1854-1884. 9 1/4" H, 7" D rim and 11 1/2" H, 7 3/4" D rim.
