SCALLOPED DIAMOND POINT / CENTRAL NO. 439 BOWLS ON HIGH FOOT / COMPOTES, LOT OF TWO, larger example with colorless bowl raised on deep cobalt blue foot, smaller example with a cobalt bowl raised on colorless foot. Central Glass Co. Fourth quarter 19th century. Smaller example 6" H, 7 5/8" D rim, larger 8" H.

Catalogue Note: Hallock notes that these two-color compotes are "rare" and moreover the "small size" example offered here is "the most difficult to locate".

Condition

Larger example undamaged with heavy wear to interior of bowl and top of foot, smaller example almost undamaged, having moderate wear and additionally having a flake to outer edge of foot.
