SHEET-IRON PEG / PETTICOAT FORM WHALE OIL STAND LAMP, black paint, petticoat font with lower strap handle, supported by a cylinder form leg and a saucer base, font fitted with a sleeve for holding the original decorated umbrella-form shade with gold painted band, top of font fitted with a side-refill feature with brass cap. Fitted with a brass and tin single-tube burner. 19th century. 12 1/2" HOA, 6" D foot.
Very good overall condition, expected usage wear, some losses to paint and light denting. Burner undamaged.
