SHENANDOAH VALLEY OF VIRGINIA PAINTED STAVE-TYPE WOVEN-SPLINT BASKET, white oak, circular form with X-wrapped rim, kick-up to bottom, and arched handle. Retains a fine dry natural surface with unusual bands of blue-dyed weavers. Late 19th/early 20th century. 7 1/2" HOA, 5 1/4" W rim, 9 1/2" W rim.
Condition
Very good overall condition, one area with a minor break having associated loss, and with minor wear.
