SOUTHERN PAINT-DECORATED PINE BLANKET CHEST,
strap-hinged rectangular lid over dovetailed case, raised on applied bracket feet. Retains original paint-decorated surface featuring two arched panels.
Possibly North Carolina or Virginia.
Late 18th/early 19th century.
25 1/4" H, 50 1/2" W, 23" D.

Good overall condition, top replaced, later added feet with old breaks and associated repairs, old break with associated repair to one hinge, and with areas of expected minor wear.
