SPRINGFIELD INDIAN SCOUT PERCUSSION RIFLE / MUSKET, approximately 65 caliber, walnut stock with leather covering the buttstock, and leather straps wrapped around the wrist and forestock, all secured with small tacks, additional tack decorating both sides of the buttstock, lockplate stamped "SPRING / FIELD / 1852" behind hammer and with an American eagle above "US" forward of hammer, buttplate stamped "US". Stock and barrel with historical alterations. Dated 1852. 41" LOA, 25" barrel.
