STAFFORDSHIRE AFRICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring "CHRISTIANBURG DANISH SETTLEMENT / ON THE GOLD COAST AFRICA", as printed below image, depicting various vessels on rough seas with a castle flying the Danish flag on left, having irregular shell border decoration. Impressed "WOOD", "18" and "A" to underside. Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. 1818-1846. 20 1/2" x 16 1/4".

Condition
