STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC SAUCE TUREEN UNDERTRAY, ovoid form, featuring the Arms of "CONNECTICUT", depicting a shield with three grapevines and ribbon below having printed motto "QUI / TRANS[TULIT] / SUST[INET]", and vine and flower border decoration. Marks include impressed American eagle with "T MAYER STOKE / WARRANTED / STAFFORDSHIRE" and printed eagle grasping ribbon with "E PLURIBUS UNUM". Thomas Mayer, Stoke, England. 1826-1838. 8 3/8" x 7", 1 1/2" HOA.
