STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATE, featuring "WINTER VIEW OF PITTSFIELD MASS", as printed to ribbon on underside, featuring a mother and child with a sizable central elm tree encircled by a fence, and a charming New England town in background, having scalloped rim. Additional marks to underside include printed American eagle with shield, and impressed crown encircled by "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE". Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge, England. 1814-1834. 10 3/8" D.
