STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATTER, featuring "HIGH LANDS / HUDSON RIVER", as printed to underside, depicting a waterway passing through mountains with the steamboat Chancellor Livingston in foreground. Additional marks to underside include a printed American eagle and shield with partial "E PLURIBUS UNUM" to ribbon above, impressed eagle with shield encircled by "E WOOD & SONS BURSLEM WARRANTED / SEMI CHINA". Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. 1818-1846. 12 3/4" x 10 1/4".

Condition

Having a 1 1/2" D area of professional restoration to lower front corner and a faint radial hairline to underside that does not appear to go through to front.
