STAFFORDSHIRE AMERICAN VIEW TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, each having light blue transfers with narrow lace border decoration, comprising an underplate featuring Undercliff near Cold Spring depicting a manor house overlooking serene water with sailboats and a footed sauce boat having view of the Narrows from Staten Island. Tray having impressed Royal Coat of Arms (lion and unicorn) with "OPAQUE / GRANITE / CHINA / W.R. & Co." to shield on underside. William Ridgway, Shelton, Hanley, England. 1830-1854. 5 3/4" HOA, 8 1/4" x 6".

Condition

Sauce boat with minor chip to rim, otherwise undamaged; tray having two flakes to underside, a very faint radial hairline to one corner, and a few minor spots of discoloration.
