STAFFORDSHIRE ANIMAL MOTIF TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF FIVE, comprising three examples from Wood's Sporting series including two featuring Pointer and Quail pattern and one with Two Deer, one depicting Chalees Satoon #1 featuring a circular domed structure with elephant in foreground, and one depicting an elephant with handler and pagodas. Marks to underside include impressed eagle and shield with "ENOCH WOOD & SONS / BURSLEM", "ROGERS / 8". Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem; John Rogers & Son, Longport, England. Circa 1825. 8 1/2" to 10 1/4" D.
