STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED BRITISH / IRISH VIEW PLATES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising one with St. Catherine's Hill Near Guildford depicting fishermen in foreground, one having "GRACEFIELD. / QUEENS COUNTY. / IRELAND", one depicting "KINGSWESTON / GLOUCESTERSHIRE", and one featuring "LLANARTH / Court / MONMOUTHSHIRE." from the Hall's Picturesque Scenery series. Marks to underside include impressed "RILEY", a crown encircled with "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE", and a crown encircled with "ADAMS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE". Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge; William Adams III, Stoke-on-Trent; John & Richard Riley, Burslem; Ralph Hall, Tunstall, England. Circa 1825. 7 3/4" to 10 1/4" D.

Condition

St. Catherine's and Kingsweston examples undamaged having some minor light wear; Llanarth example mostly undamaged except having some short scattered deep scratches from use; Gracefield having rim flake and minor flake to underside foot ring.
