STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PEPPER POTS, LOT OF FIVE, comprising two red/pink transfer examples including one Clew's American view depicting Junction of the Sacandaga and Hudson Rivers from the Picturesque Views series and one with floral motif, one brown/sepia transfer Wedgwood example with romantic motif depicting figures by water with floral urn surround, one green transfer example with floral motif, and one blue transfer example with flower and exotic bird design. Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge; Wedgwood, Etruria, England; and others. 19th century. 2 3/4" to 4 1/8" D.

Condition

Four undamaged, except one having some glaze wear to edge from use; Sacandaga and Hudson example having some old, flaking restoration to top and chip to foot.
