STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PLATES, LOT OF EIGHT, each having brown/sepia transfer scene with most having printed title to back, comprising "MORAL MAXIMS", "THE CALL / OF / SAMUEL" from "SCRIPTURE ILLUSTRATIONS" series, "Military / Sketches" depicting a large bust with soldiers on horseback, "Commerce" #4, "Solar Rays", "CLYDE / SCENERY." featuring several swans on a lake with castle in background, and "Italian / Buildings." depicting two young ladies beside a large urn with boat in background. Additional marks include impressed beehive with "ALCOCK" above.
