Stevenson", a 13 1/8" x 10 1/8" platter having "VENTURE" scene, a sauce tureen with undertray featuring Canova pattern, and a sauce ladle, Marks to underside include impressed crown encircled with "CLEWS WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE", "Davenport", and "STEVENSON". John & Richard Riley, Burslem; Ralph & James Clews, Cobridge; Ralph Stevenson, Cobridge; Ralph Hammersley, Tunstall & Burslem, England; and others. 19th century. 7 3/4" to 10 1/8" D plates.

Condition

Six undamaged, except some having expected usage wear including light short scattered scratches; platter having some glaze flakes; Doctor Syntax plate with rim hairline and light discoloration; pickle dish broken and glued; ladle with bowl hairline; sauce tureen with chip to foot and spot of exfoliation to interior; Waterfall bowl with some scattered chips to foot ring and chip and flake to rim.
