STAFFORDSHIRE TRANSFER-PRINTED GIRAFFES MOTIF CERAMIC PLATTER, having blue transfer "GIRAFFE" scene, as printed to underside, depicting three giraffes with their handlers. Additional marks to underside include printed crown and garter with "Published Augst 30th 18 36 Agreeable to the Act" above. John Ridgway, Hanley, England. Circa 1836. 22 1/8" x 18 3/4".

Condition
Well rim having a minor flake, an approximately 1 1/4" L flake, and spot of glaze loss, and some light scattered scratches from use.
